Fit's Inn
Three Chicks Media produced five short videos for Girl Scouts of the USA as part of their national multimedia program, funded by PepsiCo Foundation, to promote healthy living for girls ages 6—11. Fit's Inn encourages girls to get fit, take action, and have fun by making smart choices about nutrition and fitness. The videos were included in the Fit's Inn Guide shipped to over 200 Girl Scout councils across the country and available on the Girl Scouts USA web site in 2008 (www.girlscouts.org and www.fitsinn.org).
In episodes entitled Taking the Challenge, Getting There on My Own, Expressing Myself, Stretching My Senses and Teaming Up for Good, girls of all ages learn to make good health and fitness fun. Each episode introduces girls to familiar activity-based segments like "Fit's Inn Fun", in which they have fun building a challenge course, learning soccer drills, and practicing yoga. In "Fit's Inn Field Trip," girls get real-world experience by visiting a farm to learn where food comes from or a food bank to see how team work can really make a difference. And in the "Fit's Inn Kitchen," girls learn to have fun preparing delicious and healthy snacks for friends and families. Each episode inspires girls to get up, get out and get fit!
