Artopia
Artopia, a mixed-media television series and web site for kids about art, was created by Three Chicks Productions founders Deb Haller and Lynn Brunelle in 2002 as a way to help bring art exploration to kids despite continuing cuts in arts education funding.
Artopia is all about creating art, art throughout history, art around the globe, and art as part of our everyday lives. Through animated dives into classic paintings, talking statues, paints that mix themselves and more, Artopia brings the world of art alive for kids ages 6 through 8.
Sold to PBS station Thirteen/WNET-New York in 2003, Artopia began pilot production in 2008 and is expected to premiere on PBS in the near future.
